You have been notified of an adverse action or been denied housing based on information in your consumer file within the past 60 days

  • You suspect that your file may contain fraudulent information, or you are a victim of identity theft
  • You feel that our records contain inaccurate or erroneous information

You may obtain a copy of your TenantReputations.com consumer file in one of two ways:

  2. Go to the following web site: https://www.tenantreputations.com/dispute.aspx

If the applicant requests a copy of the record because they have received an adverse action form, TenantReputations.com will provide them with a copy with 5 business days from the time TenantReputations.com receives their written request.

The information in my file is not correct, how do I dispute it?

You may dispute information on your report with TenantReputations.com consumer file in one of two ways:

  1. Call our toll-free number 1-866-676-9814
  2. Go to the following web site: https://www.tenantreputations.com/dispute.aspx

A reinvestigation will be completed within 30 days from the date we receive your request and you will be notified in writing with the results of your consumer dispute. If you are disputing information appearing on a credit bureau report obtained by TenantReputations.com in conjunction with your application for housing, we will notify the appropriate credit bureau of your dispute. Alternately you may wish to contact the credit bureau directly to initiate your dispute.

Dispute Policy for Landlords

If a former tenant disputes a grade you provided, the following must happen within 5 business day of TenantReputations.com being notified of the disputed grade:

  • Must provide a copy of lease and an explanation of which terms were broken.
  • Photos of any damage caused by tenant during tenancy (if warranted).

If you fail to provide adequate information for TenantReputations.com to make a decision regarding the disputed record, TenantReputations.com will remove such record. If you have more than 3 records disputed and do not provide adequate information for TenantReputations.com to make a decision regarding the disputed record, your account will be terminated.
